EA is looking for a motivated, technically minded colleague to join our team and support our standardisation work on aluminium construction products and the broader EN and ISO framework for aluminium alloy designation, interested in combining technical expertise with European standardisation work in a collaborative and international environment.

European Aluminium welcomes the Commission’s ETS Review proposal and the separate proposal to adjust free-allocation fallback benchmarks for 2026–2030 as important steps towards a more competitive pathway to industrial decarbonisation. However, further action is needed to address the high energy and carbon costs faced by European aluminium producers and the limited commercial availability of key decarbonisation technologies. This one-pager sets out six critical fixes to ensure the ETS supports investment and decarbonisation in Europe while effectively preventing carbon leakage.

European Aluminium and industry partners call on the EU to use the Circular Economy Act to build a functioning single market for secondary raw materials, with harmonised Extended Producer Responsibility rules, stronger transparency and better collection and recycling systems across Europe.
