Aluminium is essential to clean energy technologies and strategic industrial sectors including automotive, construction, packaging, aerospace, digital infrastructure and defence. Meeting Europe’s growing demand for low-carbon, circular and securely sourced aluminium requires the rapid deployment of a new generation of production technologies. This Innovation Agenda identifies the key technologies, research priorities and enabling conditions needed to advance low-carbon production routes, improve resource efficiency and strengthen the resilience of the European aluminium value chain.
