European Aluminium welcomes the new proposal on circularity requirements for vehicle design and end-of-life vehicle (ELV) management. The updated regulation should focus on improving material quality for reuse, better vehicle design, and enhanced recycling processes. This will strengthen the recycling of critical raw materials like aluminium and reduce reliance on virgin materials.
