14th International Aluminium Recycling Congress

7-8 February 2017 | Manchester, United Kingdom

On 7 and 8 February, over 150 delegates came to Manchester from across Europe to participate in the 14th International Aluminium Recycling Congress. A biennial event, this edition’s theme was Recycling at its best: the circular economy opportunity with keynote speeches by MEP Julie Girling and DG Growth Director Gwenole Cozigou. Read European Aluminium’s press release calling Europe to think global on the circular economy and stand firm on its standards. Experience the Congress for yourself via the event hashtag #IARC2017.

"Europe is, per capita, the world’s largest recycler, with around half of all aluminium in production being recycled. When you look at the comparative data, we see that Europe is well ahead of other regions. This is something that Europe and its leaders should be immensely proud of."

Roland Scharf-Bergmann, Norsk Hydro ASA and Chair of Recycling Division, European Aluminium

Since 1990, our International Aluminium Recycling Congress is held every two years and represents one of the leading events in the field of aluminium recycling today.

The Congress covers relevant topics from market trends, technology and applications to the latest political developments. Experts from across the globe convene to discuss all aspects related to the recycling of aluminium. The Congress is also an excellent platform to meet, exchange views and cultivate new relationships with representatives from across the entire aluminium chain.

We look forward to seeing you at our 15th edition, which is to take place in the first quarter of 2019.
